[SHIFT: ibpcpa] allows artists to enhance their practice and theoretical and critical approaches within performance art's current and future contexts. Specifically, it focuses on the potential unexplored collaborative and participatory performance art field. This approach allows artists to develop refined methods for presenting research-based physical and theoretical works while seeking to cross social, theoretical, and professional boundaries. It's like a polyphonic, multisensory visual novel.
The selected work "Evoke" uses performance as a methodological tool to explore gender issues and the narratives created by museum institutions. In this case, the Museum of the Republic (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) is a case study and a performance location.
